Through its smart services, the UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has launched a new service that enables travelers to extend the validity of any type of visa that has been issued to them for 60 days.

Before entering the country, this service can only be utilized once. The applicant's passport must be valid for at least three months in order to extend the visa's validity, and he or she must not be present in the UAE when the entrance permit is given.

According to the ICP, through the authority's official website and its smart application, applicants can extend the validity using their UAE PASS or username. A confirmation email for extending a visa will be issued to the registered ID. Applicants can also go to customer happiness centers and ICP-approved typing facilities.

If the applicant does not provide the necessary information within 30 days of receiving the application, the request will be electronically denied in the situation that the application is discovered to have missing or incomplete data. The fee to extend a visa's validity is AED200, which includes AED100 for smart services, AED50 for the application form, and AED50 for the authority and customer-facing electronic services. If the request is denied, the fees and financial guarantees (if any) are refunded.

the ICP mentioned in a statement, “The fees are refunded through the credit card within a period not exceeding six months from the date of submitting the application, or refunded through the procedures applicable to recover the fees by cheque or bank transfer to banks located within the country only and for a period not exceeding 5 years.”
