The travel and typing center agents stated that the cost of issuing Emirates IDs and visas in the UAE has increased.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security's (ICP) customer service representative verified that the organization's costs had risen by Dh100. The representative, who spoke to Khaleej Times said that "all" ICP services are subject to the pricing rise.
According to a typing center worker, the charge rise is for Emirates ID and visit and resident visas. In addition, the price to issue a one-month visit visa has increased from Dh270 to Dh370, and the cost of an Emirates ID has increased from Dh270 to Dh370. However, visit visa charges in Dubai haven't changed yet.
This is the most recent in a series of changes implemented recently to the visa and residence process. The UAE no longer allows the extension of visit visas; instead, holders must leave the country and return with a new visa. Furthermore, the ICP recently increased the penalty for overstaying a visa in the nation to Dh50. Holders of a tourist or visit visa who exceed their permitted stay will be charged Dh50 per day rather than Dh100. The daily fee will increase from Dh25 to Dh50 for those who overstay their residency permit.
The largest entry and residency reforms in UAE record came into operation last year. A greatly expanded Golden Visa program, a new five-year Green residency, a tourist visa with multiple entries, and entrance permits for job searching were among the modifications.
