New Bus Routes to Global Village Starting November 29
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai is making public transport more accessible with three new bus routes launching on Friday, November 29. Among the updates is a direct connection between Satwa and Global Village, aimed at easing traffic and enhancing convenience for residents and visitors.
New Bus Routes in Dubai
Route 108: Satwa to Global Village
Global Village visitors now have a dedicated bus service, Route 108, operating during weekends, public holidays, and special events, including the upcoming UAE National Day celebrations.
- Schedule: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays
- Timings: 2 PM to 1 AM the next day
- Frequency: Every 60 minutes
- Stops: Starts at Satwa Bus Station and ends at Global Village
This service ensures a smoother commute to one of Dubai's most popular attractions, reducing the hassle of driving and parking.
Route F63: Metro Feeder Service
The RTA has also launched Route F63, a metro feeder service linking Al Ras Metro Station on the Green Line to Union Bus Station. It will pass through Al Khaleej Street and Naif Street, providing an efficient link for commuters in busy areas.
Route J05: Mira to Dubai Studio City
Route J05 connects Mira Community to Dubai Studio City, passing through Nshama Townhouses, catering to residents in these growing areas.
Upgrades to Existing Bus Routes
In addition to the new routes, the RTA has made significant changes to nine existing routes for better efficiency and comfort:
- Route 5: Operates both directions between Abu Hail and Union Bus Station, skipping Al Ras Metro Station.
- Route 14: Now ends at Business Bay Metro Station with two-way service.
- Route 33: Shortened to terminate at Karama Bus Station.
- Route 91: Covers Business Bay en route to Jebel Ali and now serves DMCC Metro Stop in both directions.
- Route J02: Adjusted for faster travel between Arabian Ranches and Dubai Production City.
- Route J04: Expanded to include Sports City, reducing stops in Studio City.
- Route F38: Now serves Al Jurf Heights Group.
- Route F39: Added a stop at Etihad Mall.
- Route X92: Includes DMCC Metro Stop on its way to Al Ghubaiba, reducing stops at Dubai Investment Park.
Improved Timings Across 30 Routes
The RTA has further optimized 30 other bus routes to align better with passenger demand and metro schedules. These include Routes 7, 14, 20A, 33, F05, J02, and many more.
