The UAE has officially declared the holiday for the 53rd National Day, now renamed Eid Al Etihad, which will be observed on December 2 and 3 for both public and private sectors. Work will resume on Wednesday, December 4, granting residents and citizens a four-day weekend from Saturday, November 30 to Tuesday, December 3.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) on Friday, following a circular that aligns with the Cabinet’s approved holiday schedule for 2024.
Earlier, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) shared the holiday dates for ministries and federal entities. Both authorities extended warm greetings to the UAE’s leadership, government, and people.

Eid Al Etihad, celebrated annually on December 2, marks the formation of the United Arab Emirates in 1971. The occasion honors the unity of the seven emirates, with festivities reflecting the nation’s pride and spirit.
