Tech giant Microsoft Corp. has unveiled a $1.5 billion investment in the UAE-based AI firm G42 to elevate the UAE's status as an AI hub.[1]

Through this collaboration, Microsoft and G42 aim to disseminate the advantages of secure AI technologies and cloud capabilities to burgeoning economies globally.
G42 is slated to migrate its suite of AI applications and services to Microsoft Azure to enable the delivery of AI solutions to a diverse array of global public sector clients and enterprises.
As part of this alliance, Microsoft's Vice Chair and President Brad Smith will join the Board of Directors at G42. Moreover, both companies pledge their support to establish a $1 billion fund aimed at nurturing a skilled and diverse AI workforce.
In addition, Microsoft and G42 will provide advanced AI and digital infrastructure to countries spanning the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa to ensure equitable access to services and address crucial governmental and business concerns.
