Passengers aboard an Etihad flight from Abu Dhabi to Dublin on March 9 are urged to contact Irish health authorities following a confirmed case of measles.

The Irish Public Health Agency alerted the public about a resident who tested positive after traveling on Etihad Airways flight EY045. Specifically, individuals at high risk, including pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals, and infants, are advised to watch for measles symptoms and notify health authorities.
Etihad Airways stated they are adhering to health protocols outlined by relevant authorities and will cooperate with close contact tracing. Emphasizing passenger and crew safety as their top priority, the airline assured compliance with government directives.
Prompt treatment is recommended within a few days of symptom onset. Measles symptoms include cold-like symptoms, sore and swollen eyes, high fever, mouth spots, aches, and loss of appetite.
