The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the United Nations in New York, presented its comprehensive humanitarian achievements and its international participation over the past years in various axes of spreading education and knowledge, relief and humanitarian aid, empowering communities, innovation, future foresight, and health care, during an event parallel to the participation of the country's delegation in the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, after the institution's public spending during the past five years amounted to AED 6.9 billion and had a positive impact on the lives of tens of millions around the world.
The participants were briefed on the activities of 30 institutions and initiatives affiliated with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, and their international participations that support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, which are fully consistent with the foundation’s five main axes of humanitarian and relief aid, health care and disease control, dissemination of education and knowledge, future innovation and leadership, and empowering communities, by focusing on the initiatives to combat hunger and promote education implemented by the Foundation.
