First Corporal Ghadeer Hamoud Al Kaabi, a heroic civil defense officer in Dubai, has received appreciation for the bravery he displayed in saving 24 people, including women and children, from a life-threatening house fire.
Al Kaabi, who works for the Directorate General of Civil Defense in Dubai, spotted smoke coming from the residence, but no one was moving about inside. He also noticed that the main gate was locked and nobody was rushing to leave.
He immediately alerted the operations room to the incident and hurried inside to save the residents. Women and children were among those safely evacuated from the building by Al Kaabi away from the flames and smoke. Additionally, he gave the injured individuals first aid until the Civil Defence teams came.
Al Kaabi received recognition from the government for his bravery in saving the lives of 24 individuals. He thanked the Dubai Police for their recognition and said that what he had done was part of his professional and humanitarian responsibilities as a member of the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
Al Kaabi was praised by Maj. Gen. Al Mansoori for his immediate reaction to the dangerous situation. Additionally, he praised the whole Civil Defence team as well as Director General of Dubai Civil Defence Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi for their efforts to ensure public safety.
