Arriving at Dubai International Airport (DXB) from a European nation, a traveler was arrested trying to transport hallucinogenic tablets and other illegal narcotics.
In all, 292 hallucinogenic pills, 5 hallucinogenic stamps, and 13.84 grams of hallucinogenic powder were hidden in the person's luggage, according to a story published in the Arabic daily Al Bayan on Friday.
The bag also included 274.59 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 7.38 grams of crack cocaine.
Khaled Ahmed, the Director of the Passenger Operations Department at Dubai Customs, emphasized the extensive efforts being made to safeguard society from the dangers of illegal drugs.
He highlighted the expertise, skills, and experience of inspectors and officials, along with the utilization of state-of-the-art inspection equipment at airports and customs ports throughout Dubai to combat drug smuggling.
