Louvre Abu Dhabi museum is offering free access to it’s dome starting this week, every Wednesday evening from 6:30pm to 9pm.
There will be no reservations required for the outdoor plaza underneath the dome which will also have access to the Art Lounge, Fouquet’s brasserie and the museum boutique.

You can expect exceptional contemporary art pieces, including Jenny Holzer’s permanent installation of marble panels with Sumerian-Akkadian texts and Giuseppe Penone’s Germination, which includes the Leaves of Light sculpture, a tree with reflective leaves.

French architect Jean Nouvel is the creative mind behind the dome design. The steel latticed dome lets in dappled light onto the walkways of the building’s exterior, which also looks out over the water.
