This just in! Dubai has signed a contract to develop a luxurious 'Island Project' that covers 10.5 hectares. What makes this project stand out amongst a sea of other projects is the fact that it’s going to be strictly giving Las Vegas energy. Yup, you read that right.

You need not fly to the US for Vegas any more because it’s coming to you right here.

While it's still unclear whether legal gambling will be allowed, there are unofficial talks (for now) going around about whether iconic Las Vegas casino hotels like Bellagio and MGM will be part of the extravagant offering.

Located off the coast of Umm Suqeim, near the stunning Jumeirah beach, the property is expected to provide a wide range of amenities. For example, there will be 1,400 hotel rooms and apartments, along with loads of shops, eateries, and entertainment venues to keep visitors obsessed. This exciting endeavor has been taken on by the China State Construction Engineering Corporation, which is based in Beijing, and local developer Wasl. The estimated cost of this massive undertaking is an impressive AED 4.4bn, promising a level of opulence that will, quite literally, blow your mind.
