Kehlani Releases Pro-Palestinian Song!
The proceeds from the merchandise will be donated to Palestinian, Congolese, and Sudanese families.
Grammy-winning US singer and songwriter Kehlani has released a new song 'Next 2 U', which is pro-Palestinian.
She released the music video for the song on Friday, May 31 and the proceeds from the related merchandise will go to Palestinian, Congolese, and Sudanese families.
When she announced the release of her music video, Kehlani wrote, "As an artist, I was nervous, terrified, worried after losing so much of what I’d valued for an album … paired with the crippling wonder of what music is appropriate to drop during the most historical tragedies of our generation."
She also wrote, "I listened to this song enough to recognize a love song is a protector’s song, is revolution."
The song features Kehlani and a group of dancers wearing keffiyeh jackets and waving the Palestinian flag.
The singer collaborated with a Palestinian designer Simsim and Nol Collective on merchandise related to the song.
