The CISF constable, Kulwinder Kaul, has been suspended and a police case has been filed against her after the incident that took place on Thursday, Jun. 6.

An inquiry committee comprising senior CISF officers has been set up to further investigate the incident.

Kaul said, "She gave a statement... that farmers are sitting there for ₹ 100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she gave this statement," explaining why her actions were triggered.

Kaul referred to the farmers' protests that took place in India in 2020.

The actress was travelling to New Delhi and some hours after the incident, she shared a video message on social media.

In the video, the elected MP said, "The incident happened at the security check-in. The woman guard waited for me to cross. She then came and hit me... started throwing expletives. I asked (her) why she hit me. She said, 'I support farmers'."

Ranaut also said, "I am safe... but my concern is terrorism is rising in Punjab. How do we handle that?"

Ranaut has been elected as an MP from the Himachal Pradesh constituency. The actress won over Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh, with a margin of 74,755 votes.
