The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) confirmed that it is prepared to handle any potential tropical conditions that storm "Biparjoy" may bring to the UAE.
During a meeting of the Joint Assessment Team, which also comprises the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the state of readiness of the authorities was assessed.
The protection of people's lives and property, according to the Interior Ministry (MoI), is one of its main priorities. Residents were urged to use caution and follow any directions given by the authorities. They also informed the public to avoid spreading rumors and to solely rely on information from reliable sources.
The UAE is unlikely to be impacted by the tropical conditions developing in the Arabian Sea, according to the authorities, although preventive steps are in place to deal with any unstable conditions.
