Sheerios in the UAE are holding their breath—could Ed Sheeran make a return to the emirates in 2025? While there’s no official confirmation, recent tour announcements and strategic gaps in his schedule have sparked plenty of hope.
The Clues
Ed Sheeran recently revealed new dates for his Mathematics Tour, confirming stops in two Middle Eastern locations: Doha, Qatar, on April 30, 2025, and Bahrain on May 2, 2025. Tickets for these concerts go on sale this Friday, December 6.
Here’s where it gets interesting: Sheeran’s tour has some sizable gaps. After wrapping up his China leg on March 2, 2025, there’s a nearly two-month break before his Doha gig. Similarly, after Bahrain, his next confirmed stop is in Madrid on May 30. That leaves plenty of wiggle room to fit in a UAE concert—or two.
A History of Success
Ed Sheeran’s January 2024 shows in Dubai proved his massive appeal in the UAE, with 69,000 fans filling the Sevens Stadium over two sold-out nights. The performance still holds the record for the largest open-air concert in UAE history.
Given the recent frenzy over securing tickets for Coldplay’s upcoming Abu Dhabi shows, it’s clear that demand for superstar performances in the region is at an all-time high. In fact, the growing popularity of Abu Dhabi as a concert hotspot might even tempt Sheeran to explore the capital for his next UAE performance.
Why It Makes Sense
From his chart-topping hits to his record-breaking tours, Ed Sheeran has proven he’s a crowd magnet. Adding a UAE stop to his 2025 tour would not only cater to his enormous fanbase here but also solidify the region’s status as a go-to destination for global music stars.
So, Ed, if you’re reading this, the UAE is ready and waiting to welcome you back in 2025. Fingers crossed!
