1. What inspired you to launch for this collaboration?
When I was younger I used to make handmade bags for friends and family, but I never got a chance to pursue it as my career; so when I was introduced to Tyler Ellis, collaborating only felt right as many of Tyler’s creations align so well with my collections. We were both brimming with ideas and concepts kept flowing so it only made sense to collaborate.
2. How would you define the fashion scene in the GCC and how has it evolved over the years?
The women in the GCC are so creative. We are seeing so many talented women emerge and add so much value to the art and fashion world. Every year, the UAE becomes a bigger fashion hub & I’m forever grateful to be a part of it.
3. What advice do you have for aspiring fashion designers?
Get as much experience as you possibly can.
4. Tell us more about this collection.
This collection is inspired by our Love & Romance collection. Couture, but for clutches. The frames of the bags are classic and timeless silhouettes from Tyler Ellis’ collections. We’ve added our own touch to them.
5. How do you manage to empower women through the world of fashion?
I love designing things that I myself would love to wear. Naturally, I like designs that make me feel good and more confident. Things that are bold, and interesting, but still feminine. I think a lot of women can relate and want to feel this way as well. I hope my designs can make women feel empowered.
