Sahib Singh, 4 years old becomes the first Sikh model for the Burberry Brand. Heartwarming pictures of the Sikh Boy in a black "patka", the turban worn by Sikh Boys in their community. The pictures have been going viral all over the internet, and netizens love the representation!
“Sahib had an incredible day with the Burberry team, who really looked after all the children they were shooting with. To see our son, who does look different from his peers, being given a chance by the iconic British brand was truly a milestone moment,” the child model’s mother Harjot Kaur, who also runs his Instagram account, told Vogue India in an interview.
Sahib was seen in the ad along with other children of different ethnicities. His parents posted about Sahib's journey on his social media account. They talked about how they felt different emotions on this trip.
“We want not just Sahib but all the boys in our community to be proud of their heritage, and wear their patkas and paghs with pride and confidence,” said Sahib's mother.
