Indians in UAE to Get New Unified Facility for Attestation Services

Branches of a new unified center would provide Consular-Passport-Visa (CPV), attestation, and Overseas Citizens of India (OICs) services for Indian expats in the UAE starting 2024, Gulf News reported Wednesday, August 9th.

The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has requested bids from service providers who can provide speedy, transparent services in prominent locations while adhering to tight regulations to simplify services, minimize waiting times, and ensure improved efficiency and accessibility.
The deadline to bid is Monday, August 28th and the contract will be awarded on Wednesday, October 18th.
There will be a period of two months to start the centers and operations are expected to start by January 1st, 2024.
The new service provider will be required to combine all consular services under a single facility known as the Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) throughout the emirate.
