The Guinness World Record for the "most walnuts cracked with the head in one minute" has been set by Naveen Kumar.

Kumar is from the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Kumar cracked 273 walnuts in record time, breaking Pakistan's Muhammad Rashid, who held the title since 2018 for cracking 254 walnuts, according to Guinness World Records (GWR).

Kumar began with a strong pace and held it for the entire minute in the video posted by GWR.

Prabhakar Reddy, a 41-year-old martial arts instructor, trained Kumar, 27, in preparation for the record-breaking attempt.

Rashid was the first to break the record for cracking the most walnuts with the head in 2014.

He cracked 150 walnuts that year and broke his own record in 2016 by cracking 181 walnuts, the record keeper added.

In 2017, Kumar broke Rashid’s record cracking 217 walnuts and claimed the title. This set off a race between the two to outperform each other.

A year later, Kumar and Rashid competed in a "head-to-head nut-cracking contest" on the set of La Notte dei Record, an Italian talent show.

Both broke the previous record, but Rashid came out on top, cracking 254 walnuts to Kumar's 239.
