Kohli's century has marked history, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar with his 50th ODI century. India sets a challenging target of 398 runs for New Zealand in the World Cup 2023 semifinals.
In action, bowler Shami (7-57) claimed the first four wickets for the Black Caps, including two in three deliveries when New Zealand was leading 220-2. The Black Caps were bowled out for 327. At 119 balls, Daryl Mitchell scored 134 runs.
In his six World Cup games, Shami has claimed three five-wicket scores, setting a record for the most at the event.
