Algerian boxer and Olympic gold medallist Imane Khelif has named internationally renowned author J.K Rowling and CEO of Tesla Elon Musk in a lawsuit she filed over the gender row at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Khelif's lawyer, Nabil Boudi, shared that Rowling and Musk are two individuals amongst others who are listed in the Olympic medallist's legal complaint over online harassment.
Both individuals referred to Khelif as a 'male' in their tweets on X.
Could any picture sum up our new men’s rights movement better? The smirk of a male who’s knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered. #Paris2024 pic.twitter.com/Q5SbKiksXQ

Khelif filed the complaint in Paris' prosecutor's office on Friday, Aug. 9. US Presidential candidate Donald Trump also tweeted against Khelif during the tournament, so Boudi has said, "Whether or not he is named in our lawsuit, he will inevitably be looked into as part of the prosecution."
The lawyer added, "What we're asking is that the prosecution investigates not only these people but whoever it feels necessary. If the case goes to court, they will stand trial."
After winning the gold medal in the women's welterweight final, Khelif said, "Now the whole world knows the story of Imane Khelif,t's a dream for every athlete. If I qualify or not? If I'm a woman or not? I made many statements in the media. I'm fully qualified, I'm a woman, I was born a woman, I lived a woman, there's no doubt about that."
