World leaders, business magnates, and influential figures are set to gather at the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024, commencing in Dubai today, February 12, 2024. Notable personalities including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Open AI CEO Sam Altman, and Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan will grace the summit, engaging in discussions on numerous pressing global issues.

Diverse Participation and Key Themes
Over 25 heads of state, 140 governments, and 85 international organizations, alongside thought leaders and experts, will convene during the three-day event. Themed ‘Shaping Future Governments’, the summit will discuss topics such as the future of mobility, artificial intelligence, and strategies for navigating uncertain economic landscapes.
Day-wise Highlights
The first day will witness sessions featuring opening remarks by Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE’s Minister of Cabinet Affairs. Deliberations on future economies, government innovation, and effective policy-making are slated, with Qatar assuming the role of guest of honor.
Tuesday's agenda will feature discussions on Arab public administration, geopolitical shifts, and leadership, with Turkey occupying the spotlight as the guest of honor, culminating in President Erdogan's plenary session address.
On the final day, spotlighting India as the guest of honor, discussions on global health, space exploration, education, and talent cultivation will precede addresses by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Approximately 25 strategic reports and 15 global forums will be launched in collaboration with think tanks, academic institutions, and tech companies, addressing global trends and challenges across various sectors.
