In a significant government reshuffle, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has appointed H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Defence.

The announcement was made on Sunday via the social media platform X. Sheikh Mohammed praised Sheikh Hamdan as "a leader who loves the people... and the people love him," expressing confidence in his ability to contribute significantly to the UAE government and shape the nation's future.

Expressing his gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for their trust, Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed his commitment to the UAE's visionary leadership. He pledged to continue the legacy of Zayed and Rashid, ensuring the flag of the Union remains high and working as a cohesive team to build a better future for the UAE.

Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed announced that Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan would take on the role of Deputy Prime Minister, in addition to his duties as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

This appointment marks a new chapter in the UAE's leadership, promising dynamic and visionary governance.
