Girl Guides Conference Starts on Monday With Large Arab Participation

(WAM) The 23rd Arab Regional Conference for Girl Guides kicked off on Monday at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Hotel, in the presence of several ministers and officials from government and private institutions.
The conference, organised by the UAE Girl Guide Association (UAEGGA) in cooperation with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) Arab Region, bears the slogan "Together we thrive".

In addition to the UAE, a number of Arab countries are participating, including Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Syria, Sudan, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, and Egypt, in addition to representatives of the WAGGGS.
The conference will witness the election of the new Arab Regional Committee for Girl Guides and a review of the Arab regional strategic plan, as well as a discussion of the developments made at the regional level by reviewing the regional report for the triennium. The round-table will also witness a review of the initiatives of the world association, the future direction of the global strategic movement, in addition to various other topics related to the regional guiding movement.
