The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has introduced a Free Public Wi-Fi Initiative, known as 'Hala Wi-Fi,' covering various locations in Abu Dhabi.

This initiative, extending to public buses, parks, and beaches, aligns with the emirate's broader goal of advancing its smart city development and enhancing digital infrastructure.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of DMT, expressed pride in providing seamless connectivity across diverse locations.

The implementation of 'Hala Wi-Fi' in 19 public parks in Abu Dhabi, 11 in Al Ain, and 14 in Al Dhafra Region reflects the commitment to widespread accessibility. Plans include extending the service to popular locations like Abu Dhabi Corniche Beach and Al Bateen Beach, contributing to the city's impressive ranking in the IMD Smart City Index 2023.
