The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that public parking in Dubai will be free on Friday, July 21, as the UAE observes the Islamic New Year. Except for multi-level terminals, parking fees won't be charged in paid zones.

To celebrate the beginning of the Hijiri New Year 1445, employees in the Emirates' public and private sectors will each have a three-day weekend.
Changes to the timing of its services were also announced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Changes affect Customer Happiness Centers, pay parking areas, public buses, the metro, tram, marine transport, and service provider centers (car technical testing).
Vehicle Technical Testing centers and customer happiness centers will be closed starting on Friday, July 21st, and will reopen on Saturday, July 22nd.
Except for the smart customer happiness centers in Umm Ramool, Al Kafaf, Deira, Al Barsha, and RTA Head Office, which will continue to provide 24/7 service as usual, all customer happiness centers will be closed on Friday, July 21st.
The red and green lines of the Dubai Metro will both be in operation from 5:00 am to 1:00 am (the following day). Dubai Tram will run from 6:00 in the morning till one in the morning (the next day).
On Friday, July 21, public buses in Dubai will operate from 5:00 am to 12:30 am (the following day). All metro-related bus services will be coordinated with the metro timetables.
