Dubai-based carrier, Flydubai, secured the title of "Airline of the Year" at the renowned Aviator Middle East Awards, formerly known as The Aviation Business Middle East Awards. The accolade was presented to Daniel Kerrison, Senior Vice President of Inflight Operations at Flydubai, during a ceremony in Dubai attended by prominent figures in the travel and aviation industry.
Industry Acknowledgment for Excellence
Selected by industry experts, the award highlights airlines that exhibit a commitment to passenger satisfaction, safety, innovation, and operational excellence in the region. Flydubai's exceptional inflight experiences, efficient operations, and significant contributions to enhancing global connectivity in the Middle East and fostering regional economic growth earned the carrier this prestigious recognition.
CEO's Perspective on Achievement
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at Flydubai, expressed gratitude for the award, stating, “We are honored to have been awarded 'Airline of the Year' at the Aviator Middle East event. This award recognizes our commitment to making travel more accessible across the region and supporting Dubai’s aviation hub."
Flydubai's Expansion and Future Plans
Flydubai's commendable achievements extend beyond accolades, with the carrier adding over 20 destinations to its network since the beginning of 2023. Recent launches include flights to Krabi and Pattaya in Thailand, Milan-Bergamo in Italy, Cairo in Egypt, and Poznan in Poland. Further expansion is on the horizon, with upcoming destinations including Mombasa in Kenya from January 17, 2024, and Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia from February 10.
