Five dead in Horrific Accident as Vehicles from UAE, KSA Collided
A terrible incident between two vehicles on the Al Batha-Haradh route resulted in the deaths of five individuals, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
One of the vehicles caught fire, injuring eight.
One of the vehicles had a UAE licence plate, while the other had a Saudi registration.
Compared to the Saudi vehicle, which carried seven family members as passengers, the UAE vehicle was hauling a 12-person family.
Civil defence teams and traffic patrols on the Al Batha-Haradh Road flocked to the scene of the accident to assess the situation.
An investigation into the accident has been opened.
The Al Batha-Haradh Road, also known as Highway 10, is said to be the longest straight road in the world.
