Al Meera made the following statement in response to this fresh product on the market: "We are thrilled to present these new checkout-free stores to make shopping more convenient and enjoyable for our customers. This action is a part of our expansion plans to guarantee that all customers can always access our services. Additionally, it is consistent with Qatar National Vision 2030's objective to achieve digital transformation by promoting cashless payment options and facilitating economic growth through modern technological solutions. Our consumers will be able to swiftly acquire their drinks and snacks from these establishments and finish their purchases without any problems. We consistently work to stay up with customers' rising expectations in this era of largely digital commerce.

The stores, driven by Zippin's multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) technology, will be located in desirable areas in need of a mini market to provide consumers with rapid and self-service access to drinks and snacks like water, soft drinks, coffee, chips, nuts, doughnuts, and more.

The frictionless smart stores work by tracking customers from the moment they enter until they leave. This eases and speeds up the purchasing process, which makes it easier for customers to shop and makes their experience less stressful and more enjoyable.

As part of Al Meera's numerous efforts to ensure that residents and tourists to Qatar during the mega event have a memorable experience and contribute to the tournament's resounding success, the first outlet of the unmanned stores is scheduled to open its doors to customers during the eagerly anticipated upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

"We're thrilled to work with Al Meera to offer their customers seamless buying. Having Zippin-powered businesses in the Middle East for the first time illustrates the tremendous traction of checkout-free shopping around the world. Customers obviously appreciate the speed and ease, as we have repeatedly shown with every new Zippin-powered store, according to Krishna Motukuri, CEO and co-founder of Zippin.

Using overhead cameras and sensors, the software in the checkout-free stores automatically recognizes the things picked up or returned and generates a virtual shopping cart for each customer. When the consumer leaves the store, the software will immediately charge the cost of the acquired things from their credit card, whether they are placed in their pocket, bag, purse, or they are just carried. Customers will spend seconds instead of minutes at the stores purchasing a drink or snack.
