A gas cylinder explosion sparked a fire on Thursday evening in a building on Hamdan Street in Abu Dhabi's Al Zahiya section, previously known as the Tourist Club area.
Authorities Respond Quickly
Abu Dhabi Police reported that they, along with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, swiftly controlled the blaze.
Teams from Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority have controlled the fire that broke out this evening in a building on Hamdan Street in the Tourist Club because of a gas cylinder explosion. The public is advised to obtain information from official sources only.

The incident was promptly posted through social media platforms at about 9:55PM, 40 minutes after the fire broke out, ensuring the public was informed that the situation had been subdued.
