According to doctors it is advised that Covid-19 patients must consult physicians before Ramadan fasting and only asymptomatic patients should undertake religious abstinence.
Covid-19 recovered patients require adequate hydration, which means they need to take plenty of fluids to compensate for loss during the Covid-19 period.
However, here are some tips for those battling severe Covid-19 symptoms,
- The patient must follow a healthy lifestyle that strengthens their immune system during the fasting period
- Proper nutrition is a must, therefore make sure to include vegetables, unprocessed food and plenty of water and fluid in your diet
- Avoid getting in contact with anyone
- Make sure to take your vitamins as prescribed by your doctor
- Monitor your symptoms and make sure to include as much as fluids in your diet and avoid everything that is unhealthy
