The Kailashnath Mahadev Statue , located in Suryabinayak, Nepal, is the tallest statue of Lord Shiva in the world and the second tallest Hindu deity statue. This statue is located about 20 km from the capital city Kathmandu and attracts most tourists visiting Nepal. The height of the figure is 143 m. It had been made using copper, zinc, concrete and steel. The statue was completed in 2011 after seven years of intense construction, and it is nearly reaching the height of the iconic Statue of Liberty in New York. An interesting fact about this statue is that it presents its hand gesture (mudra) while offering blessings to the people.
STATUE OF LORD GANESHA
The Wat Phrong Akat Temple in Thailand houses the world’s giant statue of Lord Ganesha. It is the temple where devotees of Lord Ganesha worship. Interestingly, Lord Ganesha is called Phra Pikanet in Thailand, resembling fortune and success. The first giant seated Ganesha statue is 49 meters high and 19 meters wide. Lord Ganesha is also believed to be the destroyer of obstacles, and people suffering from illnesses and chronic problems come to heal their wounds. It is believed that whoever visits this place and prays sincerely to Lord Ganesha, their wish would come true.
GOLDEN STATUE OF LORD HANUMAN
The 50 ft golden statue of Lord Hanuman at Vishnu Mandir in Ontario, Canada, is the tallest Hindu deity statue in North America. Vishnu Mandir is a Hindu temple in Richmond Hill in Greater Toronto. The figure was established on 2nd July 2016. Lord Hanuman is known to inspire willpower and motivation in us. He is called the Monkey God in Hinduism and a prominent figure in Ramayana. Thousands of devotees flock to Vishnu Mandir each year to worship Lord Hanuman.
