Abu Dhabi has announced a significant incentive for event organizers: a waiver on the 10% tourism tax applied to tickets sold for events until December 31st.

This move comes as part of the emirate's strategy to diversify its economic drivers and support its tourism and entertainment ecosystem.

Organizers will need to obtain permits through the Abu Dhabi events licensing system and collaborate with revenue auditors appointed by the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT).

This initiative follows a series of measures aimed at enhancing Abu Dhabi's tourism and events industry, including reduced tourism and municipality fees and updates to the holiday homes policy.

With ambitious targets to attract more visitors and double the tourism sector's contribution to GDP by 2030, Abu Dhabi continues to position itself as a leading global tourism destination.
