The train will run up to 350kph on a route that will pass through key destinations and tourist attractions.
The announcement on Thursday revealed the passenger stations for the rail service, which will be Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah.
The station will integrate metro and bus lines and will have business-class lounges, shops and family-friendly amenities.
The start date of service and fares for the service have not been revealed yet. Nonetheless, the rail service is expected to reduce emission rates and congestion on roads in addition to reducing travel time.
This rail service is separate from the previously announced Etihad Rail passenger service, which will travel up to 200kph, carry up to 400 passengers, and use the same route as the freight trains.
