The Emirati community is mourning the loss of a young talent and philanthropist, Hamda Taryam Matar Taryam, who passed away at the age of 24 on Saturday, January 27. Known for her remarkable achievements both on and off the racetrack, Hamda gained prominence through her appearances on the Netflix show 'The Fastest', where she showcased her exceptional racing skills.

Ambitious Sportswoman with a Heart of Gold
Beyond her passion for drag racing, Hamda was recognized for her humanitarian efforts and philanthropic initiatives. Through her foundation, the Hamda Foundation for Charitable Investments, she spearheaded various projects aimed at improving the lives of others, particularly in Uganda.
Legacy of Giving Continues
In recognition of her dedication to humanitarian causes, Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has pledged Dh1 million through the Sharjah Charitable Society to support ongoing projects initiated by the Hamda Taryam Matar Taryam Foundation in Uganda.
A Beacon of Hope for Orphans
One of Hamda's notable projects is the Hamda Vocational and Social Institute in Uganda's Maska region. This vocational institute provides free professional training to orphaned students, equipping them with essential skills for the job market. The institute is part of a series of humanitarian initiatives undertaken by the foundation, including the 'Taryam School' project, which offers free education to 350 orphaned students.
