Emirates has temporarily cancelled flights to Japan's Osaka due to "severe weather conditions caused by Typhoon Lan".

The Dubai carrier said on their official website that flights to and from Osaka - EK316 and EK 317 - will be cancelled on August 14th and 15th.
The airline apologized for the inconvenience caused to its passengers and urged them to check with their travel agents or Emirates local office for rebooking options.
Lan, the seventh tropical storm of the season, was over the Pacific Ocean near central Japan, headed northwest at 15 kilometers per hour (9.3 miles per hour) on Monday, with a maximum wind speed of 139 kilometer per hour and gusts of up to 195 kilometer per hour, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) said.
