Emirates and United are expanding their codeshare partnership to include nine destinations in Mexico. This means that Emirates customers will now be able to book flights to these destinations on United, and vice versa. The new destinations are Cancun, Cozumel, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, San Jose Del Cabo, Leon/Guanajuato, and Queretaro.
This is a significant expansion for the codeshare partnership, which currently only includes a few US cities. Mexico is the first country outside of the US to be added to the network. The expansion is expected to boost travel between Emirates' home base in Dubai and Mexico.
Emirates and United's codeshare partnership allows passengers to book connecting flights from two US cities, Chicago and Houston, to nine leisure destinations in Mexico: Cancun, Cozumel, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, San Jose Del Cabo, Leon/Guanajuato, and Queretaro. This gives customers more flexibility and choice when planning their travels.
The codeshare partnership between Emirates and United also provides more flexibility on flight timings for Emirates customers flying to Mexico City. Passengers can choose to fly to Mexico City on Emirates' daily services from Dubai with a stop in Barcelona, or they can book codeshare flights on United.
The expansion of the codeshare network also enables customers flying from the nine points in Mexico to fly to destinations on Emirates' network, via Chicago or Houston.
