Emirates Cancels Several Flights Due to Unstable Weather

The airline has cancelled flights because of the heavy rainfall on Thursday morning.

Emirates cancelled several flights on Thursday, May 2 because of the unstable weather in the UAE.
Flights movements have also been reduced at the Dubai International Airport (DXB) therefore travellers arriving at the airport can expect some delays as flights are being rescheduled.
The following flights have been cancelled on Thursday:
- EK 123/124 – between Dubai and Istanbul
- EK 763/764 – between Dubai and Johannesburg
- EK 719/720 – between Dubai and Nairobi
- EK 921/922 – between Dubai and Cairo
- EK 903/904 – between Dubai and Amman
- EK 352/353 – between Dubai and Singapore (EK353 departing May 3, 12:30 a.m. – UAE time)
The airline has made things easy by waiving rebooking charges for passengers.

The airline authorities said, "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience. Affected customers will be re-accommodated. Those who wish to rebook should contact their travel agent or nearest Emirates Office. All rebooking charges will be waived."
The UAE also switched to remote learning and remote work on Thursday because of the rainy weather.
The public has been advised to stay away from areas prone to flood.
