Emirates Airlines and Etihad Airways, two of the leading airlines in the UAE, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand their interline partnership, opening up new travel possibilities for visitors to the region.
The agreement will see the two airlines cooperate in a first-of-its-kind arrangement that aims to boost tourism to the UAE from key source markets.
By expanding their partnership, Emirates and Etihad are looking to capitalise on the opportunities that lie in offering visitors the chance to explore multiple destinations during a single trip.
This way, visitors can make the most of their time in the UAE by visiting more than one place and experiencing different aspects of the country's diverse culture, history, and natural beauty.
The interline agreement will allow the two airlines to share routes, allowing passengers to travel on one airline to a destination and return with the other. This means that visitors can have greater flexibility in their travel plans, as they can mix and match flights between the two airlines to create a more customized itinerary.
Additionally, the agreement will provide seamless connections, facilitated through the airlines' baggage policies and check-in procedures.
