Emirates Airlines has announced the resumption of daily flights to Lagos, Nigeria, effective October 1, 2024, marking a significant step in enhancing air connectivity between the UAE and Nigeria.

The flights, operated using the Boeing 777 aircraft, will provide travelers with seamless daily options for their journeys.

Passengers can now book their flights departing from Dubai daily at 9:45 am, with return flights from Lagos scheduled for 5:30 pm. The approximately seven-hour flight duration offers convenience and flexibility for travelers. Return tickets for this route start from Dhs2,940.

The move underscores Emirates’ commitment to maintaining robust air connectivity, with services spanning over 140 destinations globally.

The airline's extensive network in Africa comprises 19 gateways, with over 150 weekly flights from Dubai, complemented by codeshare agreements extending reach to an additional 130 regional points across the continent.

Nigeria, as a pivotal economic center in Africa, holds strategic importance for Emirates. The resumption of daily passenger flights will not only facilitate passenger travel but also bolster trade opportunities. Emirates SkyCargo, the airline’s cargo arm, will augment trade capabilities with over 300 tonnes of cargo capacity weekly to and from Lagos.

Emirates' recent financial performance reflects its resilience and growth trajectory. Closing the 2023-2024 financial year with a remarkable Dh18.7 billion profit, representing a 71% increase from the previous year, underscores the airline's robust operational performance and strategic initiatives.

In addition to its operational achievements, Emirates has been recognized for its commitment to passenger comfort and experience. Earlier this year, the airline unveiled an enhanced business-class loungewear collection, offering travelers adjustable tops, relaxed-fit pants, slippers, and eye masks, enhancing the in-flight experience for discerning travelers.
