In a tweet at 12:06 a.m. ET (0406 GMT) on Sunday, the social media platform’s billionaire owner added: “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make go live worldwide tomorrow.”
Musk shared an image of a flashing "X" but provided no other information. A request for comment was not immediately returned by the corporation.
During Musk's turbulent tenure after purchasing Twitter in October, the company changed its name to X Corp, reflecting the billionaire's aim of creating a "super app," similar to China's WeChat.
According to Twitter's website, its logo, which depicts a blue bird, is "our most recognisable asset," and "that's why we're so protective of it."
In April, the bird was briefly replaced with Dogecoin's Shiba Inu dog, which contributed up to $4 billion to the meme coin's market value.
