Billionaire Elon Musk has extended his congratulations to the UAE for the remarkable observations of Deimos, a moon of Mars, made by its Hope probe.

The National newspaper has released never-before-seen pictures of Deimos taken by the UAE's Hope probe. Hassan Sajwani, a social media influencer from the UAE, shared The National's article on Twitter, and Elon Musk responded with a message of congratulations to the UAE.

Over 200 Emirati professionals, including engineers, scientists, and researchers, contributed to the development of the first interplanetary mission in the Arab region. The project was completed in collaboration with three American universities: University of Colorado Boulder, University of California, Berkeley, and Arizona State University.

Launched on a Japanese rocket in July 2020, the spacecraft successfully entered the orbit of Mars in February 2021. Since then, it has been transmitting important information regarding the upper atmosphere and space weather conditions of the planet. Moreover, the probe was able to monitor a large dust storm on Mars for over 14 days, which aided in demonstrating the speed at which these storms can expand across the planet.
