The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert for potential dust storms and rainfall across parts of the UAE from Wednesday to Friday. The change in conditions is due to a combination of a surface low-pressure system from the east and an upper-air low-pressure system with a jet stream from the west, which will drive significant cloud development.
Clouds will start forming late Wednesday night in western areas, gradually moving toward coastal regions, islands, and parts of the northern and eastern UAE by Thursday, bringing a chance of rain.

Cooler Weather Expected by Friday
Cloud cover is expected to decrease by midday Friday, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures. Residents can anticipate a cooler end to the week, but weather conditions may still be unsettled during the transition.
Strong Winds and Rough Seas
Strong southeasterly to northeasterly winds, shifting to northwesterly by Thursday, will cause dust and sandstorms, reducing visibility on land. At sea, conditions in the Arabian Gulf will range from rough to very rough on Thursday and Friday, while the Oman Sea will see moderate to rough waves.
Stay Cautious
The NCM advises residents to stay updated on weather reports and exercise caution while traveling, especially in affected areas. For those at sea, it is recommended to avoid venturing out during the peak of rough conditions.
