Dubai's new sustainable mall project in Al Khawaneej is now 17% complete, according to the Endowments and Minors' Affairs Trust Foundation (Awqaf). This development is a key part of Dubai's 'Mosques Endowment' campaign, aimed at supporting the Dubai Mosques Endowments Fund.

Project Features
Spanning 165,000 square feet, the mall will include 29 shops, a large shopping center, a medical center, restaurants, and a fitness center. Additionally, it will feature service facilities, roads, garden areas, parking lots, and separate prayer rooms for men and women.
Financial Impact
The construction cost for the mall is estimated at Dh40 million. The mall is expected to generate annual revenues of Dh8 million, which will be used to cover the expenses of about 50 mosques in Dubai lacking endowment support.
Sustainable Construction
The mall is being constructed using international standards for green buildings, incorporating eco-friendly materials and techniques. It will utilize the latest technologies for energy generation, conservation, and recycling, including solar and renewable energy sources.
Call to Action
Ali Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of Awqaf Dubai, and Khalid Al Thani, Deputy Secretary-General, along with other officials, recently reviewed the project's progress. Al Mutawa encouraged government and private entities, institutions, and individuals to support the campaign, emphasizing the innovative nature of this sustainable endowment project in aiding mosques across the UAE.
