Dubai's RTA to Revamp 16 Bus Stations

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a three-year project to revamp 16 bus stations and six bus depots across the emirate.
The stations to be revamped include nine stations in Deira and seven in Bur Dubai.
The Bur Dubai stations to be revamped are:
- Mall of the Emirates
- Sabkha
- Jebel Ali
- Al Quoz
- Ibn Battuta
- Hatta
- Gold Souq
- Al Qusais
- Deira City Centre
- Al Ghubaiba
- Union
- Al Satwa
- Al Rashidiya
- Abu Hail
- Etisalat
- Al Karama
The project will include improving building facades, providing bicycle racks, enhancing accessibility for people of determination, building prayer rooms, and ensuring stations' connectivity with Dubai Metro and taxi services.
RTA will also improve passenger waiting terminals, driver service offices, bus parking spaces, and maintenance bays.
The RTA will also revamp the following bus depots: Al Khawaneej, Al Qusais, Al Ruwyyah, Al Aweer, Jebel Ali, and Al Quoz.
This revamp project will include overhauling inspection lanes and improving engine wash lanes and public facilities.
Bus drivers will be provided residential quarters at Jebel Ali and Al Quoz depots.
The exterior work of the project includes installing traffic signals and pavements, revamping external lights, and enhancing infrastructure for security systems.
The project will improve the quality of public transport and travel experience for commuters in the country.
