Dubai's RTA Announces New Free Parking Service for Citizens Online
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that Emirati citizens can now request a permit to use public parking near their homes free of charge online.

UAE citizens can submit an application for the free "Parking Permit for Emirate Citizen" via the official RTA platform or website, with a copy of the Emirates ID, a valid Ejari, and proof of vehicle ownership.
The application process takes two working days, then the permit will be sent via email once the application is approved.
Parking is free within 500 meters of the motorist's place of residence.
The number of free permits Emirati citizens are eligible for depends on the size of their house.
A property with a room and hall or studio gets two permits, two rooms and a hall gets three permits, while one with three rooms and a hall gets four permits.
