The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the temporary closure of Al Maktoum Bridge for maintenance work until January 16, 2025. The bridge will be closed from Monday to Saturday between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM, with a complete 24-hour closure on Sundays.
Alternative Routes for Drivers
The RTA has provided a list of alternative routes to help motorists navigate the closure and minimize traffic disruptions.
To all road users, please note that Al Maktoum Bridge will be closed from Monday to Saturday from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and closed for 24 hours at the weekends on Sundays, until January 16, 2025, due to maintenance work.

From Deira to Bur Dubai:
1. Al Shindagha Tunnel: Accessible via Baniyas Road and Al Khaleej Street.
2. Infinity Bridge: Take Baniyas Road, Al Khaleej Street, and Corniche Street.
3. Business Bay Crossing Bridge: Follow Baniyas Road, Sheikh Rashid Road, and Rebat Street.
4. Al Garhoud Bridge: Use Baniyas Road and Sheikh Rashid Road.
From Bur Dubai to Deira:
1. Al Garhoud Bridge: Accessible through Oud Metha Road and Sheikh Rashid Road.
2. Infinity Bridge or Al Shindagha Tunnel: Use Tariq Bin Ziyad Road, Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road, and Al Khaleej Street.
3. Business Bay Crossing Bridge: Take Oud Metha Road and Al Khail Road.
Plan Ahead to Avoid Delays
The RTA is urging all drivers to plan their routes in advance to avoid delays and ensure smooth travel during the closure period. These temporary changes are necessary to maintain the bridge’s safety and infrastructure.
