As the Holy Month of Ramadan continues, visitors arriving in Dubai via airports will receive a special passport stamp, announced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).

Collaborative Initiative

The GDRFA, in collaboration with Brand Dubai, revealed the initiative through an official announcement on social media. The stamp, featuring the #RamadanInDubai logo, aims to extend a warm welcome to visitors during Ramadan 2024.

QR Code for Event Calendar

Accompanying the stamp is a QR code directing passport holders to a calendar of events for Ramadan. The calendar outlines various attractions and activities across Dubai, including traditional Ramadan customs, festivities, and family-friendly events.

Symbolic Design

The stamp showcases the phrase 'Ramadan in Dubai' in both Arabic and English, accompanied by the Dubai International Airport insignia. Surrounding the text are symbolic elements of Ramadan, such as stars and moons.

Creating Memorable Experiences

Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri, Director-General of GDRFA Dubai, emphasized that the initiative aims to provide memorable experiences for visitors during their time in the city.

Previous Special Stamps

This initiative isn't the first of its kind in Dubai. In November 2023, visitors received a unique passport stamp commemorating the Dubai Airshow, featuring relevant dates and aerospace imagery. Additionally, in February 2021, travellers entering the UAE received Martian ink stamps to celebrate the historic arrival of the Hope probe to Mars orbit, adding an extraordinary touch to their passport memories.
