Dubai's Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced the establishment of a unified digital platform to streamline company setup processes.

This platform will consolidate licensing procedures across various Dubai authorities, including the Department of Economy and Tourism, and free zones like the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Its goal is to enhance the investor experience by providing a seamless avenue for accessing information, acquiring licenses, and accessing related services. The decree, applicable to all economic activities, aims to regulate licensing issuance, simplify procedures, and address barriers faced by investors.

This initiative will promote electronic integration among licensing departments and other entities, supporting Dubai's digital transformation efforts to become a digital economy hub.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has further bolstered this decree with a resolution outlining principles to facilitate investors' journeys. These measures include registration on the 'Invest in Dubai' digital platform, instant licensing and renewal, one-step fee payment, and standardization of procedures. The Department of Economy and Tourism will oversee the 'Invest in Dubai' platform's operation and development in collaboration with relevant licensing bodies, ensuring compliance with digital transformation guidelines.

All licensing and permit requests must be processed through this platform following guidelines outlined in an electronic document developed by the DET.
