Dubai Police recently recognized an Egyptian taxi driver, Hamada Abu Zeid, for his honesty in returning items valued at Dh1 million that were left behind in his cab. Abu Zeid, who works for Dubai Taxi Corporation, found the valuable belongings and immediately turned them over to the authorities.

Driver Receives Recognition

Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Al Barsha Police Station, awarded Abu Zeid a certificate of appreciation for his actions. Dubai Police praised him for exemplifying the values of integrity and responsibility, which they aim to promote within the community.

A Sense of Duty

Abu Zeid expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating that returning the items to their rightful owner was simply his duty. "It’s what anyone should do in such situations," he said.

Building a Secure Community

This act of honesty is part of a broader effort by Dubai Police to encourage positive values and strengthen collaboration between residents and law enforcement. Similar acts of goodwill by UAE residents have also been recognized by the police in recent months, further fostering a culture of responsibility and community spirit.
